About the Author
Don Richardson and his wife spent a decade and a half living among the Sawi tribe, teaching them to read their own language as well as translating the New Testament. He is an ordained pastor and speaks at numerous engagements every year.

Don and Carol moved to New Guinea in 1962 with the intention of sharing the Good News with the Sawi people. Close familiarization with their culture provided the opportunity to use a part of their own mythology to effectively befriend the headhunting, cannibalistic tribe, eventually resulting in over half the tribe converting to Christianity.
